SITE AGENT
The Role:
The Site Agent will be responsible for the management of the construction site in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers' objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. They will deliver the project to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. The post-holder will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers and Site Supervisors to ensure the project is completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management
Assume overall responsibility for the safe & timely delivery of construction on site
Deliver the work safely and without environmental incidents
Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects
Manage and coordinate site staff, including subcontractors and suppliers
Ensure production and implementation of RAMS, ITP's and waste Management plan, in line with company procedures & client expectations
Ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised within the NEC contract conditions
Manage the site to ensure adequate resources & materials are available when required to complete the tasks
Client interface
Client facing role, representing the business to our customers
Daily setting to work and progress meetings on site
Deliver end product to customer satisfaction
Produce good quality, accurate reports and communications to the Client and internally
Cost control
Report site information to the Project Manager to maximise project value
Ensure detailed site diaries/records are completed
Endeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities
Key relationships:
Customers and stakeholders
Subcontractors and suppliers
Site teams and support departments
Person Specification:
The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria:
Considerable experience in Civil Engineering
Experience working on Defence and/or Nuclear sites
Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions & CDM regulations
Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering
Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
CSCS managers card
IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
Experience with Temporary Works Design
Confined space awareness training
Programme and Risk Management experience
Excellent communication, people and team management skills
Ability to challenge and resolve problems to conclusion
Ability to demonstrate the right behaviours, lead and motivate the team to ensure the culture is in line with our Company values & client expectations
The sucessful candidate must already hold SC clearance
