Showroom Assistant

Edinburgh| Full-time | £25k

Be the person who keeps everything moving

Are you highly organised, naturally proactive and someone who takes pride in getting the details right?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Showroom Assistant to join an established and growing family-founded business. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll play a key part in keeping the showroom running smoothly, supporting the sales and installation teams, looking after customers and suppliers, and helping the wider business achieve its goals.

If you’re someone who enjoys being trusted to take ownership, thrives in a busy environment and gets satisfaction from making sure everything is where it needs to be, this could be the opportunity for you.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be at the heart of the showroom operation, with responsibilities including:

  • Coordinating schedules for sales and installation teams, including customer appointments, bathroom installations, annual leave and cover.
  • Building strong relationships with customers from their first enquiry through to post-installation satisfaction.
  • Managing showroom reporting and administration
  • Keeping contracts, compliance and documentation up to date for customers and subcontractors.
  • Taking ownership of stock control, including pricing, quoting, customer orders, supplier liaison, returns, exchanges, inventory management and stock takes.
  • Validating customer quotations to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitoring showroom finances and providing daily, weekly and monthly performance updates.
  • Supporting Health & Safety and security compliance, ensuring processes are communicated and properly evidenced.
  • Handling incoming calls and emails professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensuring the showroom is always presented to a premium standard.
  • Working closely with the Branch Sales Manager to support the success and growth of the business.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is organised, dependable and commercially minded, with the confidence to take ownership and make things happen.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Confident and adaptable communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • A professional, customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to spot problems, find solutions and keep things moving.
  • A genuine pride in maintaining high standards.

Why join us?

This is much more than an administration role. You’ll have a genuine opportunity to make a difference to the day-to-day running and future success of the business.

You’ll be trusted with responsibility, encouraged to bring your ideas to the table and rewarded for the contribution you make.

My client is offering a competitive salary of £25k with working hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

If you have the skills and experience for this role please apply online ASAP as immediate interviews are available.
