Join us as a Digitalising Finance Architecture Lead

  • You'll take ownership of the execution design for Finance Evolution, shaping how strategy is translated into delivery through business architecture, process transformation and change leadership
  • You'll play a pivotal role in driving Finance digitalisation, making sure initiatives are coherent, sequenced and fully embedded to deliver sustainable outcomes
  • This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of Finance as you influence how digital, data and AI capabilities transform operations while delivering meaningful impact at scale
  • This role will be offered as a hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 2 days a week in the office to collaborate with colleagues

What you'll do

As our Digitalising Finance Architecture Lead, you'll translate the Finance Evolution strategy, ensuring an actionable, adoptable approach, and shaping how Finance operates in a more digital, scalable and resilient way. You'll own Finance business architecture and drive end-to-end process redesign using AI and change management, embedding simplification, automation and control by design.

You'll define and lead the approach to change execution, making sure new ways of working are embedded and sustained across the function. Alongside this, you'll hold accountability for delivering measurable value, so Finance Evolution initiatives drive cost efficiency, capacity release, stronger controls and improved decision quality, not just design completion.

Your work will focus on:

  • Supporting and advising Finance ExCo on strategic trade-offs, dependencies and sequencing, enabling informed decisions that shape the direction and delivery of initiatives
  • Defining how digital, data and AI capabilities integrate within Finance architecture, setting guardrails for ethical, controlled and value-driven adoption
  • Designing future operating models with automation by default, embedding straight-through processing and scalable AI augmentation for efficiency, resilience and long-term operating performance
  • Securing integration across process, data, technology and control design, delivering cohesive and aligned transformation outcomes
  • Driving consistency and reuse across Finance value streams, simplifying design and enabling scalable solutions that improve efficiency and support standardisation across the function
  • Partnering with Finance leaders to manage the behavioural, cultural and operational impact of change, embedding new ways of working and securing adoption across teams
  • Supporting governance through structured design assurance and progress tracking, providing transparency on delivery, risks and outcomes across Finance Evolution initiatives

The skills you'll need

To thrive in this role, you'll bring extensive experience in Finance transformation, operating model design and complex change delivery, with deep expertise in business architecture and end-to-end process redesign. You'll be able to translate strategic intent into practical, sequenced execution, so transformation is both ambitious and deliverable.

You'll combine strong digital and AI fluency with a systems thinking mindset, enabling you to design Finance as an integrated operating model across process, data, technology, people and controls.

You'll also demonstrate:

  • Experience operating effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing environments, navigating complexity while maintaining clarity of direction and delivery focus
  • Strong stakeholder-management capability, engaging confidently with senior leaders and building alignment across Finance, Technology and the wider business
  • A balance of strategic thinking and pragmatic execution, translating vision into outcomes that are practical, scalable and sustainable
  • The ability to influence without formal authority to drive progress and alignment across complex, cross-functional environments
  • Clear and impactful communication skills, conveying complex ideas in a way that supports understanding, decision-making and action
  • The ability to connect strategy, architecture and delivery into a coherent whole, so transformation is aligned, integrated and outcome-focused
