What you'll be serving up...

As a Conference & Events Duty Manager , you'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting staff throughout your shift. You'll act as the first point of contact for both customers and employees, maintaining a safe, efficient, and positive environment.

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day operations during your shift
  • Support, motivate, and supervise team members to ensure high service standards
  • Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly
  • Ensure health & safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards are consistently met
  • Coordinate staff breaks and shift changes, ensuring adequate coverage at all times
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed
  • Complete daily reports, logs, and handovers to senior management
  • Respond to emergencies or incidents and escalate when necessary

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role, ideally in a customer-facing environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations
  • Solid understanding of health & safety and compliance procedures
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail
  • Flexible, approachable, and committed to delivering outstanding service
