Project Manager / Electrical Surveyor - Commercial EV Charging

Salary: £50,000 per annum, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate

Location: Glasgow – candidates based anywhere in Scotland will be considered, with travel and working away required 

RECenergy is recruiting an experienced EV Project Manager for an established and highly regarded business delivering commercial EV charging projects across Scotland.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can attend client sites, complete technical surveys, understand the electrical requirements of a commercial EV installation and turn that information into an accurate scope and quotation.

You will inherit existing clients and live projects while working closely with the Operations Manager to support the continued growth of the EV division.

Key responsibilities

• Survey commercial EV charging sites and assess the existing electrical infrastructure.

• Define the full project scope, including equipment, cabling, civils and installation requirements.

• Produce accurate quotations and client proposals.

• Manage projects from survey through to delivery and completion.

• Act as the main client contact while coordinating contractors, suppliers and internal teams.

• Control project costs, timescales, quality, risks and documentation.

• Support the Operations Manager in growing the EV division.

About you

• Experience in commercial EV charging or electrical infrastructure would be advantageous.

• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical installations, with the ability to survey sites, define scope and produce quotations.

• An 18th Edition qualification is highly desirable, although candidates working towards it will be considered.

• Personable and client-facing, with the ability to build lasting relationships and confidently attend client meetings and hospitality events.

• Commercially aware, organised and confident managing multiple projects and contractors.

• IT competent and comfortable taking ownership from survey through to completion.

• Full UK driving licence and willing to travel or work away when required.

The role is expected to be office-based when you are not attending surveys. Some flexibility for home working will be available following the initial onboarding period.
