Personal Injury Solicitor (NQ - 5) – Edinburgh

The Role

An established and forward-thinking law firm is looking to appoint a Personal Injury Solicitor to join its Edinburgh team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor looking to develop their career within a busy Personal Injury practice, working alongside experienced colleagues and managing a varied caseload.

The Opportunity

You will take responsibility for an established caseload of pursuer personal injury claims, with exposure to a variety of matters including:

• Road traffic accident claims
• Employer’s liability claims
• Public liability claims
• Occupier’s liability claims
• Sheriff Court litigation
• All Scotland Personal Injury Court matters
• Potential exposure to Court of Session cases

You will have significant client contact, providing clear and practical advice by telephone and email, while developing strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

The role will also provide opportunities to develop your litigation, advocacy, negotiation and client management skills, with support and guidance from experienced colleagues.

About You

You will ideally have:

• NQ-5 years’ PQE in Personal Injury, with experience of pursuer work
• Experience managing a caseload and progressing claims through litigation
• Good Sheriff Court experience, ideally including personal injury matters
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A client-focused approach, with a genuine commitment to providing excellent client care
• The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a close-knit team
• A proactive and motivated approach to developing your legal career
