This is a great opportunity for a quality professional looking for a role where they can take ownership, investigate issues, support compliance and contribute to meaningful improvements across a busy manufacturing operation.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to help ensure products consistently meet the required standards for quality, safety, legality and compliance, while supporting the continued development of quality systems and processes.

On Offer

  • £32,500 – £35,500 salary, depending on experience.
  • 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.

  • A collaborative working environment where you can take ownership and make a genuine contribution.

The Role

As Quality Assurance Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring products remain safe, legal, authentic and of consistently high quality. Key duties will include:

  • Investigating customer complaints, quality incidents and product quarantines, identifying root causes and supporting effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintaining the site's Quality Management System and supporting document control activities.
  • Managing and improving quality checks, including kiosk and SOP requirements.
  • Leading allocated quality projects in line with site and Group objectives.
  • Reviewing quality data and identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conducting GMP, traceability and shop-floor compliance audits.
  • Supporting responses to customer complaints and quality-related information requests.
  • Creating and maintaining retailer quality attribute sheets.
  • Collating technical data and Group information as required.
  • Completing scheduled TACCP horizon scanning activities.
  • Providing cover for the Quality Manager and Technical Services Manager when required.

About You

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented quality professional who enjoys working within a collaborative environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Applicants should ideally possess:

  • Experience within a similar Quality or Technical role, preferably within the food or beverage manufacturing sector.
  • A strong understanding of food safety, quality management systems and compliance requirements.
  • The ability to interpret accreditation standards and customer codes of practice and translate them into practical site procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with experience managing documentation, audits and quality data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Experience working with retailer specifications, artwork approval systems and food labelling requirements would be advantageous.
  • A degree in Food Safety, Food Science, Food Management or a related discipline would be beneficial, although this is not essential.
  • HACCP and Food Hygiene qualifications would be advantageous; however, candidates with relevant industry experience and a willingness to develop will also be considered.

About the Business

You’ll be joining a well-established manufacturing business with a strong focus on quality, high standards and continuous improvement.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical and quality expertise while taking ownership of projects and playing an important part in maintaining standards across the operation.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

If you have the skills and experience required and are looking for your next challenge within a quality-focused manufacturing environment, we would be delighted to hear from you.
