Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid Working)
Contract Length: 6 Months
Salary: £300 - £400 / Day

A well-established not-for-profit organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to provide leadership and stability during a period of change and transformation.This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior finance professional who can quickly build credibility, support strategic decision-making, and ensure the continued delivery of a high-quality finance service across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.
• Provide strategic financial advice and support to the Executive Team and Board.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management.
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and manage external audit relationships.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting.
• Support organisational transformation and change initiatives where required.
• Manage and develop a small finance team, providing leadership and mentoring.

About YouWe are looking for a qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with:

• Significant experience operating at Head of Finance, Finance Director, or equivalent senior level.
• A track record of leadership within the not-for-profit, public sector, housing, charity, or wider third sector environment.
• Strong financial management, reporting, and governance expertise.
• Experience leading teams through periods of change and transformation.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board level.
• The ability to hit the ground running and deliver impact from day one.
