Our client, ISS, is seeking a Fire Door Maintainer / Installer to join a growing team delivering fire door surveys, remedial works and installations across a variety of client sites.

​The successful candidate will carry out work to the highest standard, following current fire door regulations and supporting the delivery of a world-class building services maintenance provision.

We are looking for a skilled joinery or carpentry professional with fire door experience who can work independently across multiple locations, complete inspections using a dedicated digital system, and contribute to the continued development of this expanding service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out visual fire door inspections using the company's designated inspection system.
• Complete fire door remedial works, including replacement of doors, door sets, lippings, seals, signage installation and painting.
• Deliver fire door installation works in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Take responsibility for Fire Door PPM, remedial repairs and installation works issued through the helpdesk within agreed timescales.
• Produce accurate remedial quotations following inspections and surveys.
• Support and maintain BM TRADA accreditation requirements, completing assigned training and qualifications as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other operational teams to ensure service level agreements and customer expectations are met.
• Ensure all administration, records and documentation are completed accurately and within required timescales.
• Maintain compliance with all Health & Safety requirements, including risk assessments, COSHH and safe working practices.

Skills & Experience

• Experience working on internal and external fire doors.
• Good understanding of current fire door regulations and compliance requirements.
• Joinery or carpentry background.
• NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Joinery or Carpentry.
• Experience working to BM TRADA standards or accreditation would be highly advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently across a mobile role.
• Full UK driving licence.
