This vacancy, the result of growth and will report into the head of department.  As earlier mentioned, the company offer a flexible working model with a number of days working from home (exact number to be agreed by your line manager).

The role will work in a busy and collaborative environment and tasks will vary day to day.

The Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to ultimately manage a small portfolio of SME business accounts ensuring that management accounts are accurately produced and that VAT returns are completed by the relevant department in accordance with agreed timescales.  You will also be responsible for the production of year end statutory accounts. 

On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Management of a small portfolio of SME businesses
Maintaining regular client contact to deliver a proactive and client-centred service
Training and supervising students within the team
Reviewing work of colleagues and students and providing constructive feedback and development pointers
Preparation of Limited Company, LLP, partnership and sole trader accounts
Preparation of management accounts
Drafting of Personal and Corporation Tax computations
Assisting departmental assistant managers with ad hoc client tasks
Maintaining up to date technical knowledge of accounting standards, corporation and personal tax

The Requirements
We are seeking a qualified accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW) with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience within a practice firm from within the UK.  We are seeking candidates who want to go the extra mile for their clients and an individual who enjoys mentoring and developing junior members of the team/training contract colleagues.  We are looking for applicants to be systems literate with either Xero, Quickbooks, Sage, etc.  Strong communication skills in both written and verbal form are essential to be considered.

Our client does not hold a license to offer study support so will only consider applicants who are able to work unrestricted within the UK and who are based in the immediate vicinity.
