Role Description The Production Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Edinburgh. The Production Technician will support the manufacturing of secondary glazing panes, including operating machinery, assembling components, and following production schedules to meet quality and output targets. Responsibilities include monitoring production processes, performing routine equipment checks, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and assisting with inventory of materials and finished products. The role involves working closely with team members to identify and resolve issues on the production line, following standard operating procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Technician will also complete production records accurately and adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.


Qualifications

  • Strong focus on Quality Control and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  • Ability to perform Troubleshooting and basic Preventive Maintenance on production equipment.
  • Effective Communication skills for working with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools, machinery, and technical instructions.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety practices, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, glazing, or a similar technical role is beneficial.
  • Secondary education or vocational training in a relevant field (e.g., manufacturing, engineering, construction) is an advantage.
