Market Data Commercial & Contract Manager

Job title: Market Data commercial

Location: Edinburgh - 3 days per week on site

Contract: 6 months + further extensions

The Role

They are looking for an experienced Market Data Commercial & Contract Manager with a strong Market Data background to manage vendor contracts, commercial negotiations, cost optimisation and licensing compliance.

Experience Required

• 5+ years’ experience within Market Data, ideally within asset management, investment banking or capital markets.
• Strong knowledge of the Market Data vendor landscape, contracts and licensing models.
• Experience managing Market Data contracts and vendor relationships.
• Strong commercial negotiation experience with evidence of cost savings or improved contract terms.
• Experience with Market Data cost optimisation, demand management or inventory rationalisation.
• Good understanding of Market Data licensing and compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills.

Desirable

• Experience with vendors such as Bloomberg, LSEG/Refinitiv, S&P Global, FactSet and ICE.
• Knowledge of real-time/reference data, terminals, data feeds and financial datasets.
• Understanding of non-display usage, derived data, redistribution and exchange licensing.
• Experience with Market Data audits or cost-reduction programmes.
