Banking & Finance Solicitor (6+ years') – Edinburgh/Glasgow

An internationally recognised law firm is looking for an experienced banking and finance solicitor to join its Scottish team as a Senior Associate. The role is based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow, with hybrid working and regular collaboration with colleagues in other UK offices.

The role

You'll advise lenders, debt funds, investors and corporate borrowers on corporate lending, real estate finance and secured lending transactions. The client base includes major banks, alternative lenders and some of Scotland's best-known businesses and many deals have a cross-border element.

You will:

• Lead finance transactions from instruction through to completion
• Coordinate colleagues across banking, real estate and corporate teams
• Build trusted relationships with lenders and corporate clients
• Supervise and mentor Junior Solicitors
• Contribute to business development and client initiatives

About you

• 6+ years' PQE in banking and finance, from a leading private practice firm
• Scots law or English law qualified (both considered)
• Proven experience on complex secured lending deals, acting for lenders and/or borrowers
• Commercial, pragmatic and confident managing several matters at once
• Keen to grow a long-term career in an international finance practice
