Location: Edinburgh
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Competitive basic salary of £24,784.50 with the potential to earn up to £45,000+ OTE
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused sales professional to join a well-established retail business in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping customers find the right products for their home, delivering an outstanding shopping experience, and contributing to store performance through excellent service and strong product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable furniture and home products.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service throughout the sales journey.
- Build rapport with customers and create a positive in-store experience.
- Maintain accurate attention to detail when handling customer orders and sales administration.
- Support the team in achieving store sales targets and performance goals.
- Keep product knowledge up to date in order to offer confident advice and guidance.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the showroom is well presented and organised.
- Handle enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Ensure customer satisfaction remains at the heart of every interaction.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a retail, sales or customer-facing role.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A positive, professional and approachable manner.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Confident working in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.
