Accounting Assistant Manager | Top 10 Accountancy Firm

We’re recruiting on behalf of a Top 10 accountancy firm looking to appoint an Accounting Assistant Manager across its Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy or Stirling offices.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified or nearly qualified accountant looking to take the next step, combining hands-on accounts work with greater responsibility for client relationships, reviewing work and supporting junior team members.

The role will include:

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
• Managing assignments from planning through to completion
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients
• Reviewing work completed by junior team members
• Supporting, coaching and developing trainees
• Managing deadlines and helping ensure a high standard of client service
• Working closely with Managers and Partners across the wider team

We’re looking for:

• ACA / ACCA qualified or approaching qualification
• Experience gained within an accountancy practice
• Strong statutory accounts preparation experience
• Confidence dealing directly with clients
• Good organisational and communication skills
• An interest in taking on more responsibility and progressing your career
