Glasgow or Edinburgh base - £40,000 + car allowance (£5400) + commission

Realistic OTE £60,000+

Are you a proven field salesperson who enjoys winning new customers and creating your own opportunities?

This is an excellent opportunity to join the UK and Ireland's largest multi-channel distributor of workplace products. You will have the backing of an extensive product range, established distribution network and dedicated operational support, while retaining genuine ownership of your territory.

This is predominantly a new-business role, with approximately 80% of your time focused on identifying prospects, booking meetings and securing new customers. You will also receive a portfolio of existing accounts to manage and develop.

What will you be doing?

• Generating your own leads and building a strong sales pipeline
• Arranging and attending customer meetings across your territory
• Winning new B2B customers and developing long-term relationships
• Preparing quotations, proposals and product presentations
• Negotiating pricing and commercial agreements
• Identifying cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts
• Managing your own diary, territory and CRM activity

What experience are we looking for?

You must have successful field-sales or business-development experience within one of the following markets:

• PPE
• Workwear or corporate clothing
• Office supplies
• Stationery or business consumables

Applications may also be considered from exceptional B2B salespeople in a closely related sector, providing you can demonstrate a strong record of generating and converting your own leads.

You will be commercially aware, confident meeting customers face to face and comfortable working independently. A full UK driving licence is essential.

What is on offer?

• £40,000 basic salary
• Annual car allowance - £540
• 10% commission on new business
• Realistic OTE of £60,000+

You will be based around Glasgow or Edinburgh, travelling mainly within a 50-75 mile radius. Occasional travel to Birtley will be required.
