Change Accountancy and Finance are supporting one of Scotland leading firms as they look to hire a recently qualified accountant to their team in Edinburgh. An exciting role, the position will support a group of business entities in the end to end accounting and analysis of key trends and movements.

The client is experiencing growth and as a newly created role in the team, the position will be key in providing accounting support to the wider department and business. Applicants will be recently qualified and be confident in both accounts preparation and have a solid grasp of balance sheet accounting, which they can draw upon to learn the role quickly.

Key duties of the role will include;

• Producing monthly management accounts with supporting commentary
• Balance sheet analysis to form insight and aid commercial decision making
• General ledger postings and review, validating entries and movements
• Tracking spend versus budget
• Assisting in year end accounting for relevant entities
• Responsible for relevant with statutory returns
• Wider process improvement and ad hoc project work as needed by the business
