This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected wealth management firm in Edinburgh, supporting a team of Financial Advisers who look after High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients.

This is a highly involved, technical and client-facing role where you'll work closely with Advisers throughout the financial planning process. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality suitability reports, carrying out complex financial planning research, undertaking cashflow forecasting and modelling, and attending client meetings to help deliver an exceptional client experience.

If you're a Paraplanner who enjoys being part of the advice process rather than sitting behind the scenes, this could be the perfect next step.

What's on Offer?

Salary up to £60,000 (dependent upon experience)

Annual bonus

Hybrid and flexible working

Full study support towards Chartered status

Exposure to complex HNW and UHNW client cases

Client-facing opportunities

Genuine career progression

Supportive and collaborative team environment

Modern financial planning approach

Long-term career development

The Role

You will work alongside highly experienced Financial Advisers and be responsible for:

  • Preparing high-quality suitability reports
  • Conducting technical financial planning research
  • Pension, investment and retirement planning analysis
  • Cashflow forecasting and lifetime financial modelling
  • Preparing recommendations and financial planning solutions
  • Trust, estate planning and protection research
  • Provider and platform comparisons
  • Reviewing existing client arrangements
  • Assisting with annual review preparation
  • Attending face-to-face and virtual client meetings
  • Building strong relationships with clients and professional connections
  • Supporting Advisers in delivering holistic financial planning advice
  • Acting as a technical point of contact within the business

About You

Minimum 3 years' Paraplanning experience

Level 4 Diploma Qualified (or working towards)

Strong technical financial planning knowledge

Cashflow modelling experience using tools such as Voyant or CashCalc

Experience of pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning

Excellent report writing skills

Comfortable attending client meetings

Organised with strong attention to detail

Passionate about delivering excellent client outcomes

Desire to continue technical and professional development

Why Apply?

This role offers significantly more than a traditional Paraplanning position.

You'll become a key part of the advice process, working closely with clients and Advisers while gaining exposure to complex planning scenarios and sophisticated wealth management strategies.

The firm has an excellent reputation, a strong client base and genuine opportunities for progression into Senior Paraplanner, Technical Manager or Adviser pathways for the right individual.

If you're looking for a role where your expertise is valued and you can make a visible impact on client outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
