The Role & The Work

With Asset Based Lending and Receivables Finance at the heart of the role, this is an opportunity to develop specialist expertise within an established Finance practice in Edinburgh. The team advises a diverse client base, including major banks, independent lenders, debt funds and corporate borrowers, on financing arrangements tailored to their commercial needs.

You will focus on ABL and receivables transactions, alongside work in Real Estate Finance, corporate lending and leveraged finance. The work spans bilateral facilities, syndicated lending and cross-border transactions, providing the chance to deepen technical knowledge in your core areas while maintaining broader exposure to the Finance market.

Beyond the transactions themselves, the role offers opportunities to develop client relationships, contribute to business development and play an active part in the team's continued growth.

For someone operating at a more senior level, there is also the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and mentor junior colleagues, sharing technical knowledge and supporting their development.

Your Experience

• Scottish Qualified Solicitor with 3 to 7 years’ PQE and experience in Finance law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills, with a commercially minded approach to transactions.
• Confidence managing matters, working directly with clients and collaborating with colleagues.
• A clear interest in ABL and Receivables Finance, which will form the majority of the workload.
