We are currently supporting our Edinburgh-based client in the appointment of a Director of IT, a business-critical leadership role within a highly respected organisation. Recognising the vital role technology plays in enabling organisational performance, innovation and future growth, our client is seeking an experienced technology leader to shape and deliver its future digital vision.

Reporting to the executive team, you will lead the delivery, development and strategic direction of technology across the organisation, overseeing an established team of IT professionals and a diverse technology environment supporting a broad range of operational and customer-facing services. This is a highly visible leadership role, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, where you will drive technology-enabled change, enhance digital capability and ensure technology remains a trusted enabler of organisational success.

The role requires an experienced technology leader who can operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels. You will bring a proven track record of leading IT services, delivering digital transformation, managing third-party suppliers and aligning technology investment with organisational objectives. Experience of Microsoft 365, cloud technologies, cyber security, AI-enabled productivity tools and digital adoption initiatives would be advantageous.

We are seeking a collaborative, forward-thinking and values-led leader with the credibility to build strong relationships across the organisation, inspire confidence and challenge constructively. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership capability, customer focus and a commitment to continuous improvement.

This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact within a well-established organisation committed to innovation, service excellence and future growth. Technology is recognised as a strategic enabler, and the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the organisation's future digital direction.
