£34,000 to £44,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

Ownership of your own client work, with a team behind your next step. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified Business Services Senior.

The portfolio is mixed, covering sole traders through to limited companies, and you’d develop both technical depth and client confidence alongside experienced colleagues. Edinburgh’s business community is diverse and well established, and the firm’s client base gives exposure to a range of business types and sizes. What’s the day to day of the role:

• Preparing and reviewing accounts across sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Working with managers and partners on the trickier technical assignments
• Handling client queries confidently as their regular contact
• Pitching in on personal and corporate tax returns when needed
• Mentoring junior colleagues and helping them develop

Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified, with solid accounts preparation experience
• At least three years’ experience within a UK Practice environment
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of client types to a high standard
• Confident using accountancy software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
• Professional with clients, well organised, and ambitious to progress in practice
