Meraki Talent are looking for an experienced Data Architect to work in partnership with their Enterprise Architecture function, Data team and Data leads. The Data Architect will establish an aligned data and architecture base that defines which data products, governance and model the business needs. A Data Architect with strong Snowflake skills, used to working within a large, global, complex and governed environment.

Responsibilities of the Data Architect (Snowflake):

- Engage with Data and Strategy stakeholders to identify and prioritise data requirements, translating needs into defined data products

- Assess and document the existing data landscape, including Snowflake, op systems, BI platforms and 3rd data sources, identifying dependencies

- Establish effective data governance frameworks, defining data ownership and stewardship

- Design a target data-access model, ensuring appropriate security, access controls and compliance

- Develop a prioritised data architecture roadmap, providing guidance, stakeholder engagement and decision support

Background of the Data Architect (Snowflake):

- Extensive experience in data architecture within complex global organisations is essential

- Financial services experience is helpful but not essential

- Strong knowledge of Snowflake and cloud data platforms essential

- Able to define access models across BI and data platforms, within an MS environment

- Able to prioritise data demand, connecting outcomes, decisions and processes

- Strong senior-stakeholder management skills, workshop facilitation and coaching

Please note the requirement to work in the Edinburgh office 2/3 days each week, is non-negotiable
