Job title: Junior Content Designer

Location: Edinburgh

Hybrid role working 2 days a week in the office.

Salary: £30,000 to £36,0000pa

Contract: 6-month fixed term contract

Our market-leading financial services client is seeking a Junior Content Designer who is passionate about creating clear, engaging and customer-focused content. Working as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your content design skills, learn from experienced colleagues, and contribute to a variety of projects. You'll help create content that aligns with brand guidelines, adapt your writing for different audiences and channels, and build your understanding of Design while actively contributing ideas and supporting the wider Design community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create engaging, readable, accessible content that gives our customers great digital experiences.
• Develop genuine empathy for people, understanding their needs, aspirations and challenges.
• Collaborate with the other designers in your team, contributing ideas and creating solutions.
• Share your expertise to help shape the overall design approach.
• Provide consistency in the way we talk to customers across topics and touchpoints.
• Tell stories about your work to demonstrate how effective writing helps customers.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who enjoys creating clear and engaging content and is keen to develop their skills in a supportive team environment. This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is eager to learn, collaborate with others, and gain experience working across a variety of communication channels while building their understanding of Design and customer-focused content.

• Educated to degree level is essential, ideally in a Design/Marketing subject.
• Figma software experience – Desirable
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise and engaging content for different audiences.
• A collaborative mindset ready to support a busy multi-disciplinary team.
• An understanding of the importance of brand tone of voice and a willingness to adapt writing styles for different channels.
• An interest in working within a complex business environment, with experience in financial services being beneficial but not essential.
• Confidence when sharing copy with internal customers and receiving feedback.
• A keen interest in learning more about Design as a discipline and how content supports great customer experiences.
• Willingness to share knowledge and be an active member of the Design community
