Senior Project Manager

Edinburgh - Hybrid, 2–3 days per week onsite

£60k - £70k + Benefits

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a global organisation, supporting the delivery of a range of IT projects. You’ll be joining an established IT team of around 35 people, which includes a smaller, dedicated Project Management team.

This is an environment where processes and ways of working are still developing, so there’s an opportunity to improve project processes, governance and controls. The role would suit someone who is comfortable working in a less structured environment and enjoys putting processes in place.

The role

  • Manage a portfolio of around 3 - 4 IT projects at a time, overseeing delivery from initiation through to go-live.
  • Take a key role in delivering a range of IT projects across the business.
  • Manage both technical delivery and business readiness, ensuring teams and stakeholders are prepared for any changes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather, challenge and document business requirements, particularly where Business Analyst support isn't available.
  • Help develop and improve project processes, governance, reporting and controls.
  • Maintain RAID logs, track project progress and provide clear, regular updates to stakeholders.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience delivering IT implementation and business application projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Comfortable gathering and documenting business requirements, including where Business Analyst support isn't available.
  • Experience developing and improving project processes, governance and controls.
  • Confident managing project budgets, resources, risks, dependencies and third-party suppliers.
  • Good understanding of business readiness, change management and user adoption.
  • Experience working across a range of IT systems and applications.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or agriculture would be beneficial, although candidates from other sectors will also be considered.
