We're working with an established organisation undergoing an exciting period of technology transformation, looking for a Data Engineer to join its collaborative and supportive data team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with approximately 2–3 years' experience who wants to gain exposure to new technologies, contribute ideas and develop their career.

The Role

You'll be joining a team of nine, working across data engineering, reporting and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing, maintaining and improving data processes and workflows.
• Working with SQL and existing SAS-based data environments.
• Supporting data quality, transformation and reporting activities.
• Contributing to technology modernisation initiatives, including the longer-term transition towards Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaborating with colleagues across technical and business teams.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes through automation and emerging technologies.

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 2–3 years' experience in data engineering or a related technical role.
• Good working knowledge of SQL.
• Experience with SAS, Microsoft Fabric, ETL or modern data technologies would be advantageous.
• An adaptable approach and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• An interest in data innovation, automation and emerging AI technologies.

Location: Edinburgh or Reigate

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hybrid: 2 days a week in office

Salary: Up to £41,000 + bonus
