UI/UX Specialist (Contract)

We're seeking an experienced UI/UX Specialist to join a major transformation programme focused on improving user experiences across trading, commercial and operational systems.

This role will see you working closely with end users and key stakeholders to design intuitive, data-rich experiences that support fast, informed decision-making. You'll be responsible for creating and validating prototypes, simplifying complex workflows, and helping bring multiple products together into a unified platform experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prototype new user experiences using Figma
• Work directly with users and stakeholders to understand requirements and pain points
• Simplify complex workflows and improve usability across trading and operational systems
• Create wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs
• Utilise and enhance existing design system components
• Present concepts and design recommendations to stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with development teams as designs move into delivery
• Support the consolidation of multiple front-end applications into a seamless user experience

About You

• Proven experience in UI/UX, Product Design or Interaction Design roles
• Advanced Figma skills, including prototyping
• Experience designing complex, data-heavy applications or dashboards
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles
• Experience working with design systems and component libraries
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive user experiences

• Trading, energy, utilities or financial services environments
• Real-time or decision-support applications
• Operational platforms and workflow-driven systems
• Complex SaaS or enterprise products
