Risk and Compliance Manager - #2185673

My Edinburgh based client are currently hiring for an experienced Risk and Compliance leader to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who is still very hands on and looking to take on more strategic risk process planning.

In the role you will be dealing with Risk and Compliance operational tasks whilst also working to map out the wider risk framework. You will be considered the SME in this area, working with and advising the board on all areas of risk and compliance.

This role is ideal for someone with strong experience working in a hands on role in a small to medium business with clear experience of operational risk and compliance along with a strategic approach and mindset.

Responsibilities for the role include:

• Working to develop and refine the risk framework for the business
• Taking day to day responsibility for risk task including AML and wider compliance
• Managing and maintaining all relevant business policies
• Ensuring the business adheres to all external and internal audits including HRMC
• Managing all client information in line with wider GDPR requirements

Relevant experience includes:

• Risk and compliance experience within a regulated environment (particularly outwith financial services)
• Strong hands on experience of AML
• Experience of advising and working with board level stakeholders
• Understanding of GDPR policies for external client data
