Senior Pensions Administrator (DB), Edinburgh (hybrid - 2x/week in office)

About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Pensions Administrator to join a growing pensions administration team in Edinburgh. You will handle complex Defined Benefit casework, review the work of junior team members and support trustees and clients on their schemes.

Responsibilities

• Process complex DB casework across the full member lifecycle, including calculations, transfers, retirements and death benefits
• Check and sign off work produced by junior administrators and provide technical guidance
• Act as a point of contact for a portfolio of schemes, trustees and senior scheme members
• Manage annual projects such as benefit statements, pension increases and renewals
• Keep member data accurate and support data cleanse work
• Ensure administration meets scheme rules, legislation and agreed service levels

Essential requirements

• Solid DB pensions administration experience
• Experience performing manual benefit calculations
• Experience checking and reviewing the work of others
• Good understanding of pensions legislation and scheme rules
• Strong numeracy, accuracy and communication skills

Desirable

• PMI Certificate or Diploma in Pensions Administration, or working towards one
