Pensions Solicitor (2+ years)

Are you a pensions solicitor looking for your next career opportunity in Edinburgh? An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a highly regarded Scottish law firm with an established and growing pensions practice.

You will work alongside experienced Partners and colleagues, advising a diverse client base of employers, pension scheme trustees and public sector organisations on a broad range of pensions matters.

The Role

You will handle a varied caseload of pensions work, including:

• Advising pension scheme trustees and employers on a range of pensions law matters.
• Drafting and reviewing pension scheme documentation.
• Providing pensions support on corporate and commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating pension provisions.
• Advising on pension scheme funding, governance and regulatory matters.
• Supporting public sector pension funds and their sponsoring employers.
• Contributing to client relationship management, business development and the delivery of client training.

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• At least 2 years' PQE with relevant experience in pensions law.
• A genuine interest in developing your career within pensions.
• Experience advising employers, trustees or pension schemes on pensions-related matters.
• Strong technical, drafting and research skills.
• The ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.

Experience in public sector pensions would be advantageous but is not essential.
