Project Engineer | Microsoft 365 & Intune

Are you an experienced Microsoft 365 Engineer who enjoys delivering projects from start to finish rather than spending every day working through support tickets?

We are working with a well-established Edinburgh-based MSP that is looking to add a Project Engineer to its technical projects team. This is a hands-on role focused on Microsoft 365 migrations, Intune deployments and modern workplace projects, giving you the opportunity to work across a diverse range of customer environments and technologies.

The Opportunity

This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership and variety.

You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from contributing technical input during the planning and scoping stages through to implementation, testing, documentation and final handover. The work is heavily focused around Microsoft technologies, but no two projects are the same.

Whether you're delivering a Microsoft 365 migration, onboarding a new client, deploying Intune across multiple locations or helping organisations modernise their infrastructure, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered successfully.

What You will Be Doing

• Delivering Microsoft 365 and Exchange migrations
• Managing Intune deployments and device management projects
• Configuring and supporting SharePoint Online environments
• Delivering tenant-to-tenant migration projects
• Supporting client onboarding and infrastructure deployments
• Producing clear technical documentation and project handovers
• Working closely with project, support and technical teams
• Providing technical guidance to clients throughout project delivery

Your experience

You'll ideally have:

• Strong Microsoft 365 administration and migration experience
• Experience delivering Intune implementations and device management projects
• Knowledge of Exchange Online and email migrations
• Experience working within an MSP environment
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
• A proactive approach and the ability to manage projects independently
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset

Working Pattern

This role offers significant flexibility, with most of the work being carried out remotely. While there is an office in Edinburgh, attendance is typically occasional and focused on collaboration and team engagement. There may also be occasional visits to client sites as required.

Ideal Background

You will have come from an MSP, Consultancy, or multi-site IT environment, bringing experience of supporting and delivering technology solutions across multiple locations, teams or customer environments. You will be comfortable owning projects end-to-end, engaging directly with stakeholders, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
