As a rapidly expanding network of RICS-qualified professionals, our client provides the opportunity to work autonomously while delivering expert residential property services. Operating across England, Scotland, and Wales, their consultants support a diverse client base, including homeowners, landlords, developers, insurers, financial institutions, and legal professionals.
As part of their dynamic team of Chartered Surveyors, Property Consultants, and Valuers, you’ll have the freedom to shape your career while contributing to a wide range of residential surveying projects across both the public and private sectors.
You will be involved in the following instructions:
- Homebuyer surveys and valuations
- Building surveys and defect inspections
- Leasehold and freehold advice
- Structural assessments of residential properties
- Dilapidation surveys for residential properties
- Schedules of condition for residential properties
- Party wall matters
- Mortgage valuations and reports for financial institutions
- Specific defect investigations and remedial advice
- Expert witness services in residential property disputes
They offer a personal and dedicated service with an open and honest approach. All experts are specialists in their field and have substantial experience in their geographical locations.
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree in Building Surveying or Property-related degree (RICS accredited)
- MRICS/FRICS status
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Proven experience in residential surveying (e.g., Homebuyer Reports, Building Surveys, etc.)
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and surveying software
- Excellent and accurate report writing skills
- Strong technical writing and communication skills (both internal and external)
- Strong numeracy skills for valuations and measurements
- Ability to foster relationships with professionals of all levels
- Well-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage their time effectively
- Ability to meet deadlines
- A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute
