Pension Risk Transfer Actuary

Location: London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, also open UK-wide in additional offices. Hybrid

Salary: Up to £80,000 base, additional bonus and car allowance

An opportunity with a leading consultancy to join a non-restrictive environment that provides the opportunity to get involved in something different each day. The Pension Risk Transfer team are part of different transactions, with client size ranging from £2m to £1bn, conducting traditional buy-ins, dealing with third-party capital and captives.

The role:

• Deliver bespoke, innovative solutions to transfer pension risk and other complexities


• Manage a portfolio of Insurance clients


• Request and analyse quotes


• Networking through meetings with providers, insurers and Prof Trustees (occasional travel and overnight stays expected)


• Work with both Trustee and Corporate clients


• Prepare data, papers and funding updates ahead of transactions


• Opportunity to progress into a role in which you will be FCA approved, and become a deal lead on transactions

The individual:

• Qualified Actuary, or equivalent experience


• Strong UK DB pensions experience gained within a consultancy, 4-6 years experince


• Risk Transfer experience is essential; those with only traditional DB Actuarial experience will not be considered
