Progroup Recruitment Limited

Are you a passionate and quality-driven fire safety professional looking to take your career to the next level? We’re working with a fast-growing, forward-thinking fire safety consultancy seeking an experienced Passive Fire Surveyor to join their specialist Pre-Construction team.

The organisation has grown significantly over the past few years, driven by its mission to improve fire safety compliance across the UK. Their focus is not just on delivering compliant buildings, but creating environments where every resident, employee or visitor can feel safe.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that blends technical excellence with innovation. As a Passive Fire Surveyor, you'll be responsible for conducting site surveys across a variety of building types—including residential, commercial, and industrial premises. Your work will directly influence the planning and pricing of fire protection projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed fire door, fire stopping, and compartmentation surveys.

  • Provide high-quality data capture using digital tools and record management systems.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure survey accuracy and readiness for project delivery.

  • Offer informal guidance to clients on fire safety principles and improvements.

  • Conduct audits post-remediation to ensure quality assurance and compliance with scope.

  • Maximise access to properties and deliver high volumes of quality survey work.

  • Attend team meetings and maintain regular contact with your line manager and team.

  • Complete all relevant health & safety documentation and follow RAMS and safe systems of work.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience conducting passive fire surveys (fire doors/fire stopping essential).

  • BM Trada knowledge or third-party accreditation is desirable.

  • Excellent time management, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the business on-site.

  • Confident using digital software for logging survey results and reports.

  • UK driving licence essential (company vehicle provided).

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive basic salary between £40,000–£45,000 DOE

  • Bonus scheme

  • Company van and fuel card

  • Enhanced holiday allowance

  • Regular team socials and company events

  • Personalised development and progression plans

Who Should Apply?

This role is ideal for individuals from a fire door background who have expanded into—or are actively working in—compartmentation or fire stopping. You will be joining a team that prides itself on technical excellence, leadership accountability, and building a genuinely fun and supportive working culture.
