Employee Relations Partner

Location: Edinburgh (with travel across multiple office locations as required)
Contract Type: Temporary (2-3 Months)
Hours: Full-Time, 35 Hours per Week (9am-5pm)
Salary: £56,295 - £60,489 per annum (pro rata if applicable, dependent on experience)

About the Role

Our client, a well-established and highly respected organisation within the third sector, is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Partner to join their HR team on a fixed-term basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Employee Relations professional to provide specialist advice and hands-on support across a broad range of complex workforce matters. Working closely with managers and key stakeholders, you will help ensure employee relations issues are managed effectively, consistently, and in line with current employment legislation and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters.
  • Lead and support organisational change projects, restructures, and redundancy programmes.
  • Manage and advise on TUPE transfers and associated consultation processes.
  • Handle complex disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management cases.
  • Support workplace conflict resolution and mediation where appropriate.
  • Advise managers on employment legislation, policy application, and risk mitigation.
  • Assist with employment tribunal preparation and case management.
  • Develop strong working relationships with managers, employees, and trade union representatives.
  • Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant people management practices across the organisation.
  • Produce reports, recommendations, and management information relating to employee relations activity.

About You:

  • Significant experience within a dedicated Employee Relations or Senior HR role.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex ER casework from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, restructures, redundancy consultations, and TUPE transfers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The ability to provide practical, commercially focused solutions while balancing legal compliance and organisational needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) would be advantageous.
