IFA Administrator

Edinburgh

Salary up to £32,000 plus benefits

We are working with one of Scotland’s fastest-growing financial planning businesses to recruit an experienced IFA Administrator for its expanding Edinburgh team.

The company is a large, independently owned practice with Chartered Financial Planner status. Despite its continued growth, it retains the feel and values of a boutique firm, providing high-quality advice to HNW individuals, families, trusts and charities.

With more than 30 employees, including 11 Financial Planners, the business can offer an excellent working environment alongside genuine opportunities for professional development. Full support will be provided towards industry qualifications, and there is plenty of scope to progress as the company continues to expand.

The role

Working closely with Financial Planners and Paraplanners, you will provide administrative support throughout the financial planning process. Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing documentation for client meetings and annual reviews
  • Processing new business across pensions, investments and protection
  • Obtaining valuations, illustrations and product information
  • Liaising with clients, providers and other professional connections
  • Maintaining accurate client records and updating the back-office system
  • Monitoring applications, transfers and other cases through to completion
  • Producing client correspondence and supporting documentation
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with regulatory requirements
  • Providing general support to the wider financial planning team
About you

You will ideally have previous experience in an administrative position within an IFA, financial planning or wealth management business.

You should be organised, professional and comfortable managing a varied workload. Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills will be particularly important, given the nature of the firm’s client base.

Industry qualifications would be welcomed but are not essential. The company is happy to support someone who would like to undertake professional exams and develop their career within financial planning.

What’s on offer
  • Salary of up to £32,000, depending on experience
  • Company benefits package
  • Financial support and study leave for professional qualifications
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression
  • The chance to join one of Scotland’s fastest-growing independent financial planning firms
  • Exposure to interesting and varied HNW client work
  • A professional, supportive and ambitious working environment

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established but rapidly developing business where strong performance will be recognised and there is genuine scope to build a long-term career.
