Shopping Centre Manager – Edinburgh | £60,000 per annum
Joshua Robert is working with an established property management organisation to appoint a Centre Manager for a prominent retail and leisure destination in Edinburgh.
This is a senior, highly visible role with overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the centre. Acting as the principal onsite point of contact, you will work closely with occupiers, contractors, property and asset management teams and other key stakeholders to ensure the destination is safe, compliant, commercially effective and consistently well managed.
The role combines facilities management, contractor leadership, occupier engagement and customer experience, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Centre Manager or an Operations / Facilities Manager looking to take the next step.

The Role
You will take responsibility for the effective operation of the centre, including:
- Leading the day-to-day management and operational performance of the site
- Acting as the primary point of contact for occupiers and key stakeholders
- Overseeing both hard and soft FM services
- Managing and monitoring cleaning, security, maintenance and other specialist contractors
- Ensuring contractors perform against agreed service levels and KPIs
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, compliance and statutory documentation
- Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance activity
- Supporting occupier fit-outs, landlord works and operational projects
- Managing incidents, operational issues and emergency procedures
- Supporting service charge and operational budget management
- Providing regular reporting to property and asset management stakeholders
- Working closely with retailers, leisure operators and other occupiers to maintain a positive trading environment
- Identifying opportunities to continually improve the customer and occupier experience

- Strong experience managing hard and soft FM services
- Proven contractor and supplier management experience
- Excellent occupier, client and stakeholder management skills
- A good understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance
- Experience working within a busy, customer-facing property environment
- Confidence managing competing operational priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A commercially minded and proactive approach to property operations
