Responsibilities in your new role as Sous Chef

As our Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our bustling kitchen. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Leading service and coordinating the kitchen team during busy periods 
• Monitoring food quality, presentation, and service timings 
• Supervising and supporting Chefs de Partie and junior kitchen staff 
• Assisting with staff training, development, and shift planning
• Helping manage stock levels and placing food orders 
• Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and health and safety are maintained 
• Supporting the Head Chef with menu development and daily specials 
• Testing and refining new dishes and recipes 
• Maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency at all times

Your personality, experience and qualifications

You are a passionate Sous Chef with experience in a similar role and a strong track record of progression and longevity within previous positions. You'll thrive in a fast paced kitchen, bring creativity to every service, and enjoy supporting the development of those around you. Key requirements include: 

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role 
• Proven career progression and longevity in a previous positions 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment 
• Experience in creating high-quality, innovative dishes 
• Experience training and mentoring junior chefs 
• Excellent communication skills
