This exciting role is ideal for a Retail Travel Assistant Manager from a travel agent seeking a career within a reputable travel company offering an exciting varied job role together with generous benefits. As a key deputy, you will step into the Store Manager role when required while maintaining ownership of your own client base and delivering a seamless, premium client experience. 
  
The Retail Travel Assistant Manager will have the accountability for overall store performance, including sales, conversion, profitability, service standards, and team leadership. Each day will not be the same.

Retail Travel Assistant Manager Duties:

  • Support delivery of overall store performance, including sales, conversion and service standards.
  • Actively sell holidays and role model high-quality sales behaviours.
  • Support coaching, onboarding and development of the travel sales team.
  • Create a collaborative, engaged team environment.  
  • Balance delivery of both fully transactable products and more complex, tailor-made holidays.
  • Support local business generation through events, partnerships and in-store activity.  
  • Build long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business and future travel planning.  
  • Act as deputy to the Store Manager and lead the store in their absence.   
  • Contribute to a consistent, well-run store environment.

Retail Travel Assistant Manager – Essential Requirements:

  • Assistant management, team leader, supervisory or similar experience, ideally with a travel agent, tour operator or similar.
  • Developing leadership capability with confidence to support and coach others.   
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive mindset.  
  • Passion for delivering exceptional, relationship-led client experiences.  
  • Good understanding of Office 365 including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook.
