Commercial Electrician - Edinburgh - Salary up to £48,000

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Electrician / Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team, working across a range of prestigious commercial client sites in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled electrical engineer, ideally with previous Working Supervisor or Senior Engineer experience, who is confident working independently and managing the day-to-day electrical requirements of commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial properties.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Complete electrical installations, testing and remedial works as required.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current electrical regulations, health & safety procedures and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate service records, job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and site teams.
• Work independently while taking ownership of electrical tasks and site requirements.
• Support and provide guidance to other engineers where required, particularly where previous supervisory experience can be utilised.
• Participate in a shared 1-in-4/5 on-call rota.

Person Specification: We are looking for a time-served and experienced Commercial Electrician / Electrical Engineer with a strong background in commercial building services.

Ideally, you will have:

• Relevant electrical qualifications, such as 18th Edition and Inspection & Testing.
• Proven commercial electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience working across multiple commercial client sites.
• Previous Working Supervisor, Senior Engineer or similar experience would be highly advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A professional and reliable approach to work.
• The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• A full UK driving licence.

Benefits & Salary:

• £48,400 annual salary
• 25 days annual holiday
• £150 on-call allowance for each on-call week
• Company van provided for business use
• Working hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Predominantly Edinburgh-based, with one day per week in Glasgow
