ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Scientist to join a leading Contract Research Organisation specializing in drug discovery support within their Protein Science, Biophysics, and Structural Biology department. This exciting opportunity allows you to work on innovative projects that contribute to the development of new therapeutics, providing you with the chance to make a significant impact in the scientific community.

Based at our client’s state-of-the-art facility, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality data and insights to support key client projects in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Support the delivery of Biophysics and Protein Science projects, ensuring high-quality data generation to meet project goals.
• Independently and collaboratively contribute to small-to-medium client projects, managing timelines and budgets effectively.
• Apply hands-on experience with techniques such as SPR, GCI, ITC, DLS, DSF, SEC-MALS, and protein production.
• Present data clearly to internal and external stakeholders, including clients, and support scientific decision-making.
• As the Scientist, you will mentor and support junior scientists, helping to develop scientific capability within the team.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

• A Degree or higher level in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology).
• Proven hands-on experience in Biophysical techniques and Protein Production within a drug discovery setting.
• Experience leading scientific projects and collaborating effectively with external clients or partners.
