• Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations across the organisation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on data protection best practices.
• Act as the main point of contact for data protection queries and concerns.
• Monitor data processing activities to ensure they align with relevant legislation.
• Handle data breaches, including investigation and reporting to regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure data privacy is prioritised.

Profile

A successful Data Protection Officer should have:

• A strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR.
• Experience in developing and implementing data protection policies.
• Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Effective communication skills for providing clear guidance and training.
• The ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and care.

Job Offer

• An hourly rate of £23.00 to £28.00, dependent on the level of experience.
• A temporary contract within a not-for-profit organisation.
