On behalf of M&G, AMS are looking for a Transaction Monitoring & Screening Data Analyst, for a 6 month contract.Based inEdinburgh (preferred) or London, hybrid with 2 days per weekrequired on-site.

Purpose of the role

We're looking for a Transaction Monitoring & Screening Data Analyst to join a Financial Crime team, supporting the analysis and validation of transaction monitoring and screening data. You'll help ensure the data behind monitoring rules is accurate, complete and fit for purpose, while producing clear reporting and insight to support rule reviews and wider control effectiveness.

What you'll do

• Analyse transaction monitoring and screening data to support rule validation and testing.
• Review data quality, identify anomalies, gaps and inconsistencies, and support root cause analysis.
• Support rule testing by analysing outputs, alert volumes, false positives and unexpected results.
• Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting to support monitoring assessments.
• Assist the Data Scientist / Rule Validation Specialist with analysis, testing evidence and documentation.
• Support data mapping, reconciliation and validation activities.
• Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Skills you'll need

• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Power BI experience.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong SQL / data interrogation capability.
• Experience of data quality assessment, validation and reporting.
• Financial Services experience, ideally within Financial Crime, AML, Transaction Monitoring or Screening.
• Transaction Monitoring experience would be a strong advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly.
