Responsibilities in your new role as a Capture Field Operative

As a Capture Field Operative, you’ll work travelling along designated routes to complete data capture and surveying assignments accurately and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for deploying, mounting and monitoring specialist camera and LiDAR equipment across vehicles, UTVs or pedestrian systems, capturing panoramic imagery, measurements and data relating to streets, utilities and public infrastructure. You’ll monitor equipment throughout each assignment, carrying out basic troubleshooting of camera hardware, storage drives and GPS systems to keep operations running smoothly.

Safety and accuracy will be key, with responsibility for completing site risk assessments and following strict data privacy, security and anonymisation procedures. When you’re not completing field captures, you’ll support office-based testing and wider project work, using technology confidently and adapting to changing requirements.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

We’re looking for someone reliable, adaptable and confident working independently in the field. You’ll need a clean, valid UK driving licence, as the majority of assignments involve driving camera-equipped fleet vehicles. You’ll be comfortable using mobile devices, tablets and basic spreadsheet software to accurately track and record operational data. You should also be confident managing your own schedule, working independently or as part of a small team, and adapting to changing weather, road conditions and project requirements.

Experience within data processing, data entry, field-based data collection, project work or the IT & Technology industry would be advantageous.
