Solution Architect - #2177473

We are seeking an experienced AI Solutions Architect to design and deliver scalable, secure, and resilient data and AI solutions within an enterprise cloud environment.

You will play a key role in shaping the organisation’s AI and data architecture, driving initiatives across Generative AI, Machine Learning, RAG, agentic AI, LLMOps, and GCP cloud migration.

Working closely with engineering, data science, security, and business stakeholders, you will translate complex business requirements into robust technical architectures aligned with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end architectures for AI, ML, data, and agentic AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Design cloud-native solutions using BigQuery, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Vertex AI, and Cloud Composer.
• Develop architecture patterns for Generative AI, LLM-based applications, RAG, and AI workflow orchestration.
• Design secure API and microservices integration using Apigee, Istio, and Kubernetes.
• Implement enterprise security patterns covering IAM, OIDC, workload identity, authentication, and authorisation.
• Support cloud migration, data modernisation, ETL transformation, and legacy platform decommissioning.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, regulatory, risk management, and responsible AI requirements.
• Lead technical design discussions and contribute to Architecture Review Committees (ARC) and Architecture Working Groups (AWG).
• Collaborate with technical teams and senior stakeholders to communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Data Architect, Cloud Architect, or AI Architect.
• Strong architectural experience with GCP and cloud-native services.
• Excellent understanding of data architecture, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.
• Experience designing RAG, LLM-based applications, and/or agentic AI solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, microservices, API integration, IAM, and cloud security.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ability to lead architecture governance, influence technical direction, and engage senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of data governance, regulatory compliance, and secure enterprise architecture.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Vertex AI, LangChain, LangGraph, and LLMOps.
• Background in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, multi-cloud, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of IBM DataStage migration or decommissioning.
• Experience with Apigee, Istio, and large-scale data migration programmes.
