Legal Counsel (12 Month FTC) | Edinburgh | Global Travel Platform

Up to £80,000 including pension and benefits, plus bonus

A global online travel brand is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its European legal team in Edinburgh. The team is small, close and busy, and it supports a business growing fast across Europe, with 28 jurisdictions today, around ten more joining next year, plus the Middle East and Brazil.

You would be one of two legal counsels working alongside five senior counsel, with a junior counsel on hand to pick up the more straightforward work. Your day to day would be varied:

Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts across the travel value chain
Supporting senior counsel on major regulatory projects, including the DSA and OSA
Advising the business on day to day legal queries, with plenty of exposure to marketing and product teams
Research, benchmarking and risk analysis across a range of jurisdictions

You will be someone with around 2 or more years PQE, ideally from an in-house background, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, commercial, customer-facing or regulated environment. Experience in tech, B2C or cross-jurisdictional work is a real plus, though the team cares more about your skill set than your sector. You are resilient, internationally minded, and happy to roll your sleeves up and learn quickly.
