Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing business in the Greater Edinburgh area to recruit an Interim Management Accountant for an initial 3-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic organisation during an exciting period of growth and transformation, with the potential for the assignment to be extended.

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial information to support decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on position requiring strong management accounting expertise, excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful commercial insights.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting
• Interrogating large volumes of financial and operational data
• Producing meaningful analysis and presenting the story behind the numbers
• Supporting month-end and year-end processes
• Business partnering with operational and senior management teams
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and controls
• Supporting ongoing systems and finance improvement initiatives

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven management accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent Excel and systems skills
• Experience working with ERP systems and reporting tools
• Ability to translate complex data into clear commercial insights
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Previous manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous
• Immediate availability or the ability to start at short notice
