Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance backup, disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities to support critical business services.
  • Oversee server, storage and virtualised infrastructure environments, ensuring high levels of availability, resilience, performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership across networking technologies including routing, switching, firewalls, WAN and secure connectivity solutions.
  • Assess application and infrastructure workloads and determine the most appropriate hosting model across on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Manage infrastructure suppliers, vendors and technology partners, ensuring value for money and successful project delivery.
  • Recruit, develop and lead a team of infrastructure engineers.
  • Define infrastructure standards, operational processes and long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and networking issues.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in an Infrastructure Manager, Infrastructure Architect, Infrastructure Lead, Infrastructure Services Manager or similar role.
  • Strong experience delivering and managing enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Proven experience with datacentre infrastructure, server platforms, storage, backup and disaster recovery.
  • Experience managing enterprise virtualised infrastructure and virtual desktop environments (VDI), using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix or similar platforms.
  • Strong networking experience covering LAN, WAN, routing, switching and firewall technologies.
  • Experience designing and implementing resilient disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
  • Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure transformation, datacentre relocation or cloud repatriation projects.
  • Ideally with experience managing suppliers, stakeholders and technical teams.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary up to £61.000 / year (DOE)
  • Generous annual leave
  • Private Medical Insurance, Critical Illness cover and Life Assurance.
