Operational Resilience & Supplier Risk Manager (1st Line of Defence)

Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

Offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow

Our client is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience & Supplier Risk Manager to play a key role in protecting the resilience of our business services and critical supplier ecosystem.

Reporting into Head of Enterprise Risk Management, you will lead the day-to-day coordination of the firm's Operational Resilience and Supplier Risk Management frameworks. Working across the business, you'll support Important Business Services, impact tolerances, dependency mapping, scenario testing, vulnerability remediation and supplier oversight, ensuring the firm can continue to deliver critical services through disruption.

This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys working across business, technology, operations and risk teams, translating resilience requirements into practical action and driving meaningful improvements across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Operational Resilience activities, including Important Business Services, impact tolerances and dependency mapping.
• Lead severe-but-plausible scenario testing and vulnerability remediation programmes.
• Manage first-line supplier and outsourcing risk activities across the supplier lifecycle.
• Support supplier due diligence, risk assessments, ongoing monitoring and exit planning.
• Produce management information, governance reporting and resilience insights for senior stakeholders.
• Partner with business service owners, technology teams, risk, compliance and key suppliers to strengthen organisational resilience.

About You

You'll bring practical experience in Operational Resilience, supplier risk, outsourcing, third-party risk or business continuity within financial services. You'll be confident coordinating complex cross-functional initiatives, challenging stakeholders constructively, and turning resilience testing and supplier reviews into tangible risk reduction.
